it's been above freezing all week during the day so we're having a nice gradual melt finally! we went out in search of puddles and found a bunch, many covered with a film of ice that was fun to crunch and then splash in the water.

let the melting begin
Nolan sees me putting stuff away in the closet, and i assume that he is just trying to help. when i'm putting our clothes away he has taken to rearranging my shoes. quite focused, he will push them around, sometimes behind the shelves, stack them and throw them on the floor. at times he asks for my help as he hands me all of the shoes. today he wanted to take a shoe with him. he was pushing it around as if it were one of his toy cars. i wish i knew what was going on in his head.
