I found a killer tricycle on Craigslist for the kids since Nolan is finally getting into riding a tricycle, not into bicycles for now and Nico will need one anyhow. This tricycle came with a tandem seat (not pictured) so Nolan can take his sis or pals for a ride! Nico may want to take up riding before too long! I predict as soon as she can reach the pedals she'll take off like a rocket.
Most nights the two kids are inseparable. Ever since the thunderstorms we experienced in April, Nolan will not go to bed alone. His bedtime is basically the same as Nico's so they both settle down together and then get carried off to their beds later. Although Nico protests sometimes. She's quite spoiled.
Nico is at that helpful age. She can even sort laundry. This happened while Nolan was away at the grandparents for the night so it's fitting that she decided to try on his underwear.
You'd think Nolan was off in the woods somewhere, but this tree was our only casualty (besides our power and multiple electrical appliances that short circuited...) in all the storms of Spring. We chopped it up and replaced it with an apple tree.
Another example of how helpful Nico can be around the home now.... Anytime the dishwasher is opened, she is there. Pronto. She will help take the dishes out (clean or dirty) and loves to close the soap door.
