the obsession

As Nolan's interest in trains gets bigger (as if it could) his layout of track takes over more and more of our house. It's that time of year that the upstairs feels a little bit cool, but we may have to still move his operation up there for fear of tripping over bridges and junctions. This is actually an old picture now, the current trainscape bridges the gap between dining and living rooms rugs. The bridges constantly go out, either because Nolan mandates that the bridge be broken and the trains are then forced to go over treacherous bumpy rides or the dogs knock them over. I am merely the architect's assistant, as he usually starts the construction projects and I guide the tracks together or give him tips on how to make things actually work.
